"The female Medica Operatives are the most supportive of all the special agents, usually working in cooperation with other Operatives.

Medica Operatives are Operatives with special medical training. The Medica's role is to serve as a field medic and bio-researcher. Along with being highly trained in medicine, they are among the elite Operatives in the Secret Intelligence Agency. Outside of their mission, Medica Operatives are responsible for monitoring recruits and initiates for deviations or flaws in their alterations and implants. Each Operative is equipped with their own personal Syrinx, a customized instrument filled with anti-venoms, stim-packs and healing agents. When asked by other Agency members, all Operatives give their names as "Joy", even when more than one is present. Why the Operatives would refer to this name is unknown."
