Brilliant Light, Incredible Value!
This Spot Light ON/OFF v.1.3 by Olivia is absolutely brilliant and worth far more than L$3. It’s copyable and editable, so you can control multiple lights with just one click! The lights can be set to on or off, low, medium, or high, and there’s a choice of 12 colors. You can also set access to owner, group, or all, which is incredibly convenient.
The only minor critique I have is that i found the instructions for linking the lights a bit confusing. Here’s how I would have written the instructions:
The system works with linked messages (everything, including the light menu and light bulbs, must be linked together).
For controlling multiple lamps in one linked set individually, you need to use "GROUPS". To do this, write the same group number in the description field of all prims that contain the script. Scripts with the same group number can communicate with each other.
A prim with a configuration notecard will automatically set the GROUP NUMBER if you specify one in the notecard.
Overall, this light system is an amazing deal and works perfectly!
