The SecondSnaps Photo Studio Umbrella Reflector Light gives photographers and fahionistas a full-featured, fully-scripted, copyable studio light in only 4LI. A perfect add-on to your SecondSnaps Studio 3 or just great as an independent photography light anyone can use, this light delivers professional lighting in 12 colours and looks great, too!
This full-featured studio light is copy, so you can rez as many lights as needed. Clicking a menu will give you options for five light settings for that light ONLY, so lights can be individually controlled. Menu options are presented here in order of how annoying they are to understand:
* ON/OFF: Turn the light on or off. The bulb of the light glows to indicate it is on.
* COLOR: The colour of the light cast from the reflector light with many colour choices.
* RADIUS: How far the light casts. Your menu allows you to choose a distance in meters, ranging from 1 meter to 10 meters.
* INTENSITY: The intensity of the light is a measurement of how strong the light is. Your menu allows you to choose a setting ranging from 100% to 10%, where 100% is fully on and 10% is barely perceptible.
* FALLOFF / DECAY: Falloff is the extent to which light "decays" as it travels away from the umbrella. If the light is set to 0% falloff, it will be equally bright at the center and at the edge; with 100% falloff there will be lower light levels at the edge than at the center.
Menus have been specifically scripted to be as easy to use and as easy to understand as possible. Clicking the light will show you all of that light's current settings in plain English. Menu options are provided in plain numbers, with no mystery +/- minus buttons or need to input colour codes. They are literally click and go.
.: IMPORTANT :.
Before buying ANY studio lighting system, it is important to understand both the possibilities and limitations of lighting in SL. Your viewer and hardware MUST support Local Lighting for these lights to be visible. In addition, how intense, how visible, and in what direction the light casts is dictated by your Windlight settings. In some windlights, local lighting colours will not be visible AT ALL regardless of what lighting system you use.
Product photos for this listing attempt to make it clear how this light casts in both dark and bright windlights. Please feel free to visit the SecondSnaps studio to test both the lights and your preferred Windlight settings prior to purchase if you are not clear on how these two things work together.
