On MP that lil checkbox sais modify. Yeah...well, it is...IF you use the included "copy/mod" version.
And guess what the "copy/mod" version doesn't do? You can't open/close the lid! It isn't scripted to. You have to manually lift and adjust it yourself and then leave it there. Kinda sucks huh? Also, the control pad texture doesn't have its own face. So if you wanted to tint the toilet to a different color, like I had in mind, you end up tinting it as well. Not good if you're aiming for a black toilet.
The no-mod toilet that does have a scripted lid also happens to be NO COPY.
Really? Its a freckin' TOILET! It's not that serious!!!
I just feel like I been royally screwed over with technicalites. IF these technicalites were included in the description (LIKE IT SHOULD BE), and I bought this thing anyway without reading....It woulda been 100% my fault for not getting what I was expecting. I wouldn't be here complaining and giving 3 stars.
If you like the toilet as it is with no plans of modding, have at it...but beware of the sacrifice you have to take for chosing one version or the other.
Geezus it takes just another minute or two to be more descriptive for the customer, but I guess they couldn't be bothered.
The scripted version is nomod, the modify version is unscripted.
The boxed item uses Kool Door Builder scripts, but they are only included in the nomod version of the toilet, if you want the lid to open and need to modify the item to fit (and you likely will if you're not nine feet tall) you will need to have your own script ready to go to drop in to the lid or rip the scripts (copy/nomod/notrans) from the nomod copy and put them in the lid of your modify version.
If you use the actual Kool Door scripts (which I do for *almost* everything in my region that opens and closes) you can set it up to run with advanced settings or server control (though I oped for it to *not* connect to my server so any guest can lift the lid without being in an approved group) and silence the default "door" sound the scripted copy makes when you lift the lid.
This works perfectly for me, but may be an issue for people who aren't comfortable modding things with their own scripts or mixing bits between two versions.
It would probably be more "user friendly" to allow resizing of the scripted copy so people who aren't comfortable editing an item can size it to fit their avatars, as it comes from the store (exactly as you see it rezzed at the in-world shop) you'd need to be like nine feet tall to fit it properly. I sat on the nomod version and looked like a pre-schooler trying to use a "grown-up potty." The final edit has this at about 2/3 the size as it is when it comes out of the box for my 5'9" avatar to lok like they are an adult while using it.
This is excellent mesh, though, at a great price. I would call it absolutely perfect, though I needed to edit it a bit, so if you're not comfortable doing that you may want to look elsewhere if you visit the item at their store and find it to be as insanely large by default as I did.
PERFECT!
It's everything I want in a toilet and MORE! The animations are super nice, it's low Li, and it's mod so you can resize if needed. I will be using this toilet in all of my bathrooms.
