zan's 1790s dress

This is an outfit from a period of transition between the opulent 18th century and the more elegant early 19th century- it features 2 types of Historical correct jackets, one with a long tail that covers the back of the skirt and another that only has a detail around the back.

The jacket is called Pierrot, or redingote and it had different styles whether it was for men or women.

There's also a Fichou which is a piece of fabric tucked under the jacket to fill the gap left by the jacket.
