DEFCON HUD
Defcon HUD will automatically activate its defenses as needed. There is no need to push any buttons or do any setup what so ever. The only buttons on the HUD are the ON, OFF, and the END buttons. ON turns the HUD back on when you have it off. OFF will disable the HUD and all of its functions. END will end the auto rez shield and all censor blocks.
Defcon has 4 primary ways of defending you:
Auto Shield: A large spinning ball prim shield that will rez as soon as anything gets too close to your avatar.
Auto NPV: A npv is a nonphysical vehicle that when sat upon will allow you to move around normally, but will protect you from all pushes, hits, pulls, and damage. If you have a RLV enabled viewer (such as firestorm), you will sit automatically if you have rlv turned on. (To turn on RLV in firestorm go to Avatar > Preferences > Firestorm tab > General Menu > Click Allow Remote Scripted Viewer Controls RLVa). Unsitting/Sitting up from the npv will autodelete the npv from in world.
Interceptors: Anytime an avatar or physical prim gets too close to your avatar disc shaped interceptors will be spawned. These interceptors will attempt to block anything from getting to you before it reaches you.
Lag Blocker (BETA): The lag blocker device is currently in beta, but if any rezzed objects are detected that have a massive render cost, they will be censored by black blocks spawned from the DEFCON HUD to stop your avatar from being able to look at them, thus rendering any graphics based laggers worthless.
Of course, in addition to defense, DEFCON has a large database of known threats and known combat weapons (if you wish to add one to the database, please message Xylex Doomdale). Anytime one of these known threats is found your HUD will owner say to you in the main chat that it has been identified. It will tell you the creator and owner of the product, as well as the product's name and brand. Any threats found this way will be added to the float text threats counter.
DEFCON will also tell you anytime someone bumps your avatar as well. However instead of spamming bump reports constantly DEFCON will wait up to 5 seconds before telling you again to avoid blowing up your main chat box. All avatar collisions will tell you who hit you, their display and user name, and the velocity of which they were moving at.
As mentioned above there are some floating text indicators on the HUD. The threats one is the number of people who have hit you and the number of detected threats. The same threat cannot be detected twice for all rezzed objects. The second floating text indicator is the name of the sim, how large it is, how many prims are available, how many have been used, and what restrictions the sim has, such as No Build or No Push. It is important to note that if build is turned off to the general public, but allowed for the group you are in, DEFCON will still flag the sim as no build, because that is what it is for everyone else.
Next up what makes DEFCON very special is that it will never try to spam rez or use land it cannot build on. It will always check upon start-up and let you know if it is able to run its rez/build Dependant functions there. It will also alert you that it is unable to rez/build if you do not have the proper group enabled for rez. DEFCON also keeps track of when it automatically rezzes its shield and npv. This way you do not end up with a stack of tons of them spamming you and making your situation worse than before you started.
DEFCON will automatically enable move lock when you stop moving and disable it when you start moving.
Now as an added bonus for rlv users, DEFCON will block avatars from talking with you in the main chat who have spammed over 50 lines of text in the main chat in under 15 seconds.
Auto undeform will end all animations affecting your avatar and reform it if you are being deformed, if it is detected that your avatar has over 20 animations playing at a time.
Clicking the end textures button will turn off all rezzed textures. Clicking it again will turn them back on. Good to stop a lot of laggers that are out there.
If the sim is close to being full defcon will identify this and then use temp on rez objects in order to rez defenses even if the sim is full.
Last off DEFCON will get automatic updates for life, as long as I am working on the project all updates will be free and remain free. DEFCON is also only 2 scripts. Also note that turning off the HUD and then turning it back on will reset the shields used indicators so it will re-enable auto-shielding and the auto-npv. Please enjoy this product, and if you do not for any reason feel free to report bugs or feature suggestions to me (Xylex Doomdale) as I check instant messages at least once every day.
Detection on this hud seems vary good!
I tried a will hidden follower that i made on my self this hud detected it when even the viewer itself can not fully detect the follower i used only on myself so i know this hud can pick up on even the best hidden objects and activate when they attack to try and bash move the avatar so this really seems to be one of the better defense devices out there on the market.
Nice shields!
This shields seem to respond vary will what it can't stop it will slow down i think even if unseated by some thing this thing just sits you right back on a new shield that you ride on as for the stopping power some friends and i tested this with the best attacks on me that i permitted on our homeland while some attacks could bypass some of the shields what it did not stop was greatly slowed down strongly recommended for useing with your fav devices this adds what defenses that cover holes in defenses.
