This is not a 2 dimensional image or simply a prim with a texture on it - this is a fully realized, 3 dimensional painting in a mesh model frame with a baked texture and a carefully placed wall shadow behind it. Very realistic.
The painting is not some image stolen from the web, it is a high resolution image taken of an original antique painting I own that sits in my living room.

Beautiful BUT a) Huge and b) the frame has a really low LOD
It can be resized, by editing the parts individually but the lod on the frame is so bad I had to unlink it and put the image in another frame.
