Throw this script in an attached prim and ALL the other scripts in the object will keep running, even in no-script areas. This isn't a hack. It's just a bit of a documented loophole in the way Linden scripting works. It's basically for vehicles, but works for anything. The only caveats are that the object must either be attached or have you seated on it to work.

Solved most of my vehicle & hud problems !!!
And the failures are no-mod code that I can't "adjust", yet.
(But I'll get with their builders and see about some "fixes", I hope? ;)
