I would guess that dozens of times you’ve had situations when you are really deeply into something (Role play, Seminar, Gallery tour, Comedy club...),
and then some visitor comes out of nowhere and starts to use public channel without permission.

Then you (or your participants) have to go out of character to deal with the visitor, losing track of whatever you were doing until that moment, and try to explain to that person not to use the public channel
