Notes:
This packagei is for learning purposes, as there are no big reason to use anything from it, cause far ago exists sculpts with several plants in 1 prim. There are few mesh versions of way better looking volume trees in 1 prim e.t.c.
This sculpts just shows that sculpt map must not be used whole 64x64 pixels, but very tiny, cause no reason for big square flat surfaces use more then 2 triangles. Unfortunately this days even mesh creators do not understand that wasting yours computer power and fps for rendering useless polygons.
Polygon https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polygon , talkinb about simpliest triangle one is what form 99.(9)% games made. So if you learn how to keep them, you can do it everywhere.
As I said this is for learning purposes while you are young as builder, later you ll find way better sculpt or mesh items to make visual of plants or trees.
As bonus included simple sculpt that may be used as privacy screen around parcel. so you can use mountains or trees for example to hide neighbors ugly view. but from their parcel they can see yours nice (or not =) parcel.
This package also updated with 2 builder scripts, that no uses any sculpt map, but only regular prims, but result you will see the same to 4 Sides Simple Plant/Tree and Privacy Screen in same prim count. Privacy Screen can be used even as skybox with several separate textured faces.
How to:
- Create prim.
- Drag and drop selected script on newly created prim.
Done.
Note: This will automatically create a ready-to-use object; fully textured, the right size, and with your name as Creator. The script will auto-delete from the prim upon completion, so no need to worry about its removal. While the script runs, you may see some distortion of the sculpted object. This is normal as a result of forcing a sculpt map to load in some regions. After script auto-removes from the content of the prim, your new object is ready.
Attention:
I have never had the following problems with my sculpt, but we are aware that this can happen: If the object continues to appear distorted, please force loading of the sculpt map by checking or unchecking the mirror and invert flags ont the Edit -> Object Tab of the sculpt. If the problem continues, please check your LoD settings and your network connection to the SL server. If you don't know how to check these settings and connections, please ask your more-experienced friends for help.
