What is a RAW Terrain File?
A RAW terrain file is a file that Estate owners can upload to their SIM with a predefined form. This file will terraform your land so it has a consistent and attractive layout, perfect for re-selling and leasing.
It does not change the terrain textures of the SIM such as the grass or snow. It only changes the SHAPE of the SIM.
How do I buy a RAW file? Will it be sent right away?
Buy the terrain file of your choice and you will get a notecard with download instructions. The file will be available for your to download immediately!
How do I use a RAW file?
As the owner of the estate, you can upload a RAW terrain file via the Estate Manager Tools.
(World -> Region Estate -> Terrain -> Upload RAW Terrain)

Here is the trick
To those new to using RAW files. When your new terrain appears it will look terrible. You need to use the 'Smooth' option in the terrain menu to make it look like what it shows here in the picture. Use a lighter strength too so you keep all the peaks and nuances of the terrain. Once you do that you will have what you see in the picture and doesn't take long at all.
DO NOT BUY.
What got uploaded was different from the picture in almost every way except the basic shape. I got 4 grass textures, so the coloration could not match the advert. But the worst problem was that the land was very spikey - with waist high spikes on what should have been a smooth grassy slope.
It's like someone took the finished object and then hit the equivalent of the inworld "roughen" terrain editing tool. It looks AWFUL. Not worth L$49 let alone L$499.
I have a decade of inworld experience dabbling with terrain editing and with a great deal of care, I was able to just about salvage the terrain. It isn't perfect and it took me several hours to do. So don't expect to fix it yourself if you aren't also experienced.
