If you want a screen, if you want a filler in your garden, or just want these for an asian garden, these are perfect, a must have for anyone who loves to have a realistic garden in sl, a bonus I found was there is hardly any alpha conflict whatsoever, one of my best sl buys to date!
Right click and touch and you will get a menu to change the texture of the trunks so each cluster looks different and/or to you can make them more thinner looking or even so thick or tall that they will screen out almost any eyesore, simply a MUST have!!

....absolutely the best bamboo I've found in SL. Texture is great, color changes....forests or single stalks. Realistic shadows too! I have many of their landscaping products and they never seem to put a foot wrong. THANKS for this low prim bamboo - low price - i can cover the corners of my land and or use as a hedge - or . . just about anything!
