To put some comments right:
1. Yes it IS a darker skin as you already can see in the picture
2. Shine/Glossiness is to be put on with the Genus HUD
3. If it looks weird, you might have to change your face's and/or eyebrow's shape or you even are wearing the wrong head then adjusting might not help - as mentioned in the pic and text, this skin is for Genus
4. Looks great on the Strong Gift Head
5. It's almost free and nothing to complain about, if something does not work, ask the crator, ask someone, try to get some help...
