This is the Alyssa Security Orb
Version 3.6 - Fixed a bug with active mode where the orb was kicking people on white list.

This orb is a full featured security orb comparable to any other on the market place today.
Its key features include:
* Full permission both object and script.
* Low Script use time (0.004-0.008ms average measured on a home stead region)

* Active Mode (will eject all avatars that are not on white list and admin list)
* Passive Mode (will only eject avatars on black list)
* Eject type either teleport home or move off parcel

* Memory Management to prevent the script from crashing due to memory limit should it ever be reached.

Note: You must own the land or have land rights set in the group once the orb has been deeded for this to work.
If you do not own the land, or have not deeded the object to the group. if the parcel is group owned.
It will not work.
The orb uses the kick option for the parcel and requires some basic understanding of second life.

I tried this device, after learning the maker of my other orbs was no longer in SL, this one is less complex, but I wanted it for surveillance, for that it is terriffic, keeps a tally of visitors, and can add names to a blacklist if needed, only draw back I saw after 1 day,is it counts white listed people, even the owner as visitors, designed for parcel use. and am using in passive mode.

The creator of this orb sent me a message asking to leave a review after puchasing and I think that that's a good sign in a product, that the person who made it is hands-on, first off.
I bought it personally to try out in comparison to another popular free security orb, the PDS orb. In comparison, this one is really stripped down and more user-friendly I guess in interface. With the Alyssa orb, you toggle through all the option states very easily by pressing each dialog button. That's a neat stylistic choice in contrast to other similar security products I've tried out but not very practical in my opinon.
I didn't decide to keep using the Alyssa after trying it out but I can easily see why others may prefer the Alyssa for the simplicity.
Personally, if I were to use this orb, I would go in and change all instances in the script of "llSay" to "llOwnerSay". I would also change the script in the visitor list so that the names linked to the users' profiles. A good thing about this orb is that you can modify all the scripts.
I think a feature to have owner IM notification toggled on or off for every visitor would have made the product better, but I get that maybe the intent wasn't to make a visitor maker or anything fancy, just a very simple security function. And that's what this is.
One major draw back too: It seems that this only, without editing, covers a parcel rather than a whole region at it's maximum scan range and that you'd have to go in the script again edit it manually to change the vertical number range that it catches, as there is no button on the dialog to change that.
It DOES seem to be low lag though, like mentioned in the description. Very very simple orb, if you want a simple thing to keep people out of an area, and like you just want an extremely simple visitor tally and to boot certain people, this will probably be good for that and it's free so that's good.

This is a very good security orb. It has white list,eject etc and anyone who wants to keep others from snooping around should use it.

This is what i've been looking for! I was a bit not sure to buy ORB cuz i hv no experience to set any tools before for my land. Then i found Alyssa n VIOLA !!! This stuff is really easy to use n pretty simple :DD - Not just that, i asked my friend too to buy it hihi also today I got another one for my parent's land!
