Wear both of the enclosed staves. One is worn on the back, and one is worn in your hand, which allows you to switch between a drawn and sheathed position.
When staff is drawn, clicking on the staff brings up a menu that allows you to activate and change particle effect colors, toggle the built in walking AO, and sheath the staff.
