Dvandva Phantom Child Scripts
There are two script include in this package. Both scripts work on normal prims and sculpties.
DvandvaPhantomChild Script: if you have a single prim in your build you want to make phantom.
This script will make and keep any child object phantom without effecting the other prims
in your build. Simply drop the DvandvaPhantomChild script into the object you want to be
phantom and you are done. If you accidentally drop the script into the root node it will
automatically remove itself. The script will maintain the child object as phantom when linked,
unlinked, or rezzed.
DvandvaMultiplePhantomChild Script: if you have multiple phantom child prims in your build.
This script will make and keep multiple child prims in your build phantom.
See item in Second Life
- Make individual child prims phantom!
- Works with sculpties too!
- Works in linked builds
- Make multipel prims phantom with a single script
Doesn't work with mesh
Unless I am missing something, this script does not work with mesh prims. It works fine with regular prims, but I wish I had known this does not include mesh before spending the $, and the creator hasn't responded to my message yet.
Thanks Francine
If I had not read your post, I might have had a problem, but it was simple thanks to you!. :)
Easy to use!
I had another script from somewhere else that used to work but not anymore. The phantom child script from Dvanda is pain free to use and works perfectly! I would highly recommend this script for linking phantom and non-phantom objects.
Making a change to my review as the problem i had has been solved by Rian and he did so in a pretty good time frame so that's good service.
Not going to give 5 stars though because it did cause a pretty rough customer day from the product i used it in. I still like his scripts and hope the future ones will be tested a bit more before release.
That said, in its current form the script is excellent :)
Excellent product, I had probs with it, the creator came immediately to sort me out.
Note you MUST link all prims before adding the script to the child phantom prims using "edit linked prims".
