MORE DETAILS OF THE SETUP:
Easy setup instructions
----------------------------------
I. version
1. Rez the elevator and move into its starting position.
2. Touch it then select RECORD.
3. For every level (including the 'Lobby' level) move the elevator by hand and touch/select SETPOINT. Use SNAP option to snap to whole Z coordinates.
4. When you are finished, touch/select FINALIZE, then touch/select START.
II. version
This version is best suited for identical levels. (Like if you have 5 stories, having 6 metres of distance between each of them.)
1. Create a notecard, name it _config. (There is an underscore in front of the word config...)
2. For every level, enter its coordinates in a vector format. Make sure the X, Y coordinates are the same for every levels.
Example for 3 levels (including lobby):
<100,55,120>
<100,55,126>
<100,55,132>
Save the notecard into your inventory.
3. Rez the elevator, touch/select DELETE. The elevator will get rid of its own current _config card. Now, holding CTRL, drag and drop your _config card (from your inventory) onto the elevator.
4. Touch/select USENC to turn notecard usage ON, then touch/select START.
Calling buttons
----------------------
For every elevator you can only have ONE calling button/object PER level.
1. Rez the calling button. Move it next to the elevator OR move it to a location that is close to your level coordinates.
2. Repeat it for every levels.
3. Touch the button to test if the elevator comes when it is called. If it doesn't come, move the calling button object closer to the XYZ coordinates of that given level.

The elevators are beautiful, and configuring them was not too hard BUT it took me a while to figure out how to ride in them by using the elevator pad.
Also, since the elevator sits in the middle of my store, I need to have a cover over the hole where the elevator comes through the floor because otherwise people would fall out of my store. and the elevator can actually get through the blocking prim but it takes several minutes to do so. Furthermore, when the elevator goes through the blocking prim, I fall out of the elevator instead of going up to the floor I want to be on.)
I did finally solve this problem by putting up a cage around where the elevator goes and leaving a hole in the floor. So I now have a beautiful working elevator, thanks to the fine work of Jenne Dibou. For beauty, elegance, and ingenuity I would rate this 5 stars -- I had earlier rated it as only 3 stars because of my trouble setting it up.
I think it is an especially good feature that the elevator comes in so many different beautiful styles.
