I was a little worried about buying these boots after reading other reviews, but they are just so freaking cool lookin.. so i decided ok just do it.. and im glad i went ahead and purchased them instead of talking myself out of it again. Im sure anyone can have issues with any product in sl, but these boots work perfect on my av.. yeah they arent super black but they have an aged look that makes them more interesting to me. they look well worn lol.. i love um and will be wearing them often :)
Bad product, LOUSY customer service.
I rarely bother with bad reviews - usually i chalk it up to experience and be done with it. In THIS case, i'm more than happy to take the time. At first glance, these boots look great. That is, until you actually put them on and discover that the right is barely distinguishable from the left, there's a plain texture on the sole that is a mere notch above LL plywood - but MOST IMPORTANTLY: These boots are a lightish GREY, nowhere NEAR as black as depicted in the ad. (see http://tinyurl.com/bo2v6aj - "black" boots worn with actual black pants) And of course, they are no mod, and there is no hud, menu or other means to make them as black as they are advertised to be. The maker's response to that is the all too common "Buy the demo". Oh, and apparently his paid or unpaid PR people tell reviewers to, and i quote, "piss off" if they complain - charming... The demo - aye, there's the rub, is nowhere to be found on the MP - no, you have to visit the shop inworld. After all, a maker cant be bothered to put a frickin demo out on the MP as well, can he? A friend with the same complaint who asked the maker about the color was told to CHECK THE SETTINGS OF HER MONITOR. It really doesnt get any more... faecal... than that. Bad advertising, lousy customer treatment, at best a mediocre product. NEVER AGAIN.
