LOVE - WILD WOOD FOREST KIT - SEASON CHANGE
Create the forest of your dreams with the WILD WOOD FOREST KIT from LOVE
Easy to use, just rez as many forest scene pieces as you need and change the season from the provided HUD. It's that easy.
Go from Summer through to Winter and back again.
Choose from 6 various forest scenes. Use one or all to create a magical forest. Each piece is a small scene in itself including the ground, so it's ideal for those of us who don't like to terraform or for those who want a bit of texture adding to your landscape.
This is a pine forest, however, I strongly encourage you to play with it. You can't break it..Play with your own textures if you want. Add your favourite terrain texture to the ground, bark to the tree trunks and even add foliage..You can't break it, just rez another piece. It's that easy and that much fun. Wild Wood is created with YOU in mind. Don't be afraid to have fun with it.
Note: If you do add your own textures please note when you use the HUD the textures will change so if you have created your own style, and you don't want to utilize the HUD, just delete the script from the scene and it will stay the way you made it. Remember! You can't break it.
It is recommended you pop inworld and take a look at the forest to make sure it is what you need.
Included are the following:-
▶ 6 forest scenes to create your own forest
▶ Season change HUD ( add it and click it)
▶ Extra Summer and Winter grasses and ferns
▶ Extra Summer and Winter trees (not hud driven)
▶ 100% mesh
Land impact ranges from 1 Li to 9Li at the current size. Please DO note that land impact will increase, as with all mesh items when you increase the size.
I hope you have as much fun with these as I did ♥

This is an alright kit if you want some quick foresty areas for your and. Be aware that linking various items in this kit together into one linkset often results in no reduction of LI or in many cases an increase so in most cases you're better off leaving them unlinked.
I do have to agree that the lack of proper physics on the scenes themselves is disappointing but it is worth noting that the scenes are all one mesh so you cant unlink the terrain or other items to cut down on land impact (but that's where the extra trees come in handy, those are individual trees/grass but no land)
The scale of the items in this is alright for a realistic sized human avatar but would be on the smaller side for fantasy creatures, animal avatars or residents who might be riding horses around. My attempts to scale up the parts even a tiny bit resulted in an immediate jump in LI. Most of the trees seem to be about 8-11 meters in height.
Overall it didn't work out for what i personally had in mind but its still a good pack, particularly for filling out distant areas of a sim that just need to feel less empty.
Visuals are great, physical not so much
If you are planning on using this for just setting up pictures it is great, however if you wanted it to be a full environment to walk through that is not the case. The entire set is by default phantom, when removing phantom from the properties you still can not walk on the ground parts and this renders the trees an immediate obstacle, normally the trees would be phantom and the ground would be walkable which is normally a great idea but since it's all tied together you can't pick and choose. Otherwise great visuals and a great hud for changing stuff on the fly, just not practical if you want people to walk through it like a normal forest.
