Madame Haute Couture - Serenade, purple cocktail dress

'Serenade' is a short cocktail dress of Chinese silk, closing tight around the body. The fabric is draped round the body in horizontal lines. The dress has shoulder bands that flow at the back into a low cut creating a half open back leaving the shoulder blades visible. Packed with the dress is a veil and shoulder ornament. The veil hangs at the back of the dress and runs in two narrow lanes from the left to the right shoulder band and hangs down from there. The veil is flexi and provides a very elegant movement while walking or dancing and is in the same colour as the dress. The shoulder ornament is in black.
