Thank you for your interest in Kheph's "Missile Defense" Arcade Game!
This arcade game harkens back to the Golden Age of Video Games when titles like Missile Command, Space Invaders, Frogger and Pac-Man ruled the video gaming world. This larger-than-life inworld game machine costs your sim less than 100 prims. It comes in one piece. Its size is 5m wide by nearly 6.5m tall, though it can be shrunk slightly if it needs to fit into smaller spaces. (Warning, the smaller the machine the easier the game, as the explosion radius of the missiles remains the same as the machine gets smaller.)
------------------------------------------
NOTE: The Rentable version of this machine will die 7 days after purchase. However, if you buy your own copy of the machine, it is permanent and comes with mod/copy perms..
------------------------------------------
Just 1 Player at a time.
This machine can be set to Free Play, or Pay to Play from its config menu. If you set it for Pay, you set any price you wish.
There are six levels- each lasting 60 seconds. The final level has no end, until all the players cities are finally destroyed. There is no way to "win" this nuclear game! :)
The machine can be set to give a prize. You include as many of your own prizes as you wish (make sure they are set to copy!). Just Edit the machine, and add your prizes to the contents. Then set the machine to give a prize in the config menu. At game-over, the machine will give a random prize to the winner.
The machine keeps the top-5 high scores, and displays them between games.
The machine plays both welcome and goodbye music. It also plays its welcome music every five minutes as an attention-grabber. You can turn the attention-music off or on from the config menu.
The config menu allows you to set the machine to give a prize, turn on or off the attention-music, set the machine to charge lindens to play, reset a game-in-progress, clear the high-score leaderboard or reboot the entire machine.
Setting Up and Using the Game Machine:
Setup is very simple. Just right-click on the machine and choose Edit. In the Edit Window, change the NAME of the machine to something of your choosing. You want each machine in your sim to have its own unique name! (This is how the Targets know to respond only to their own machine.)
After you have renamed the it, close the Edit window and touch the machine. It configures itself, and is now ready to go. All you have to do is set the Targets - and the machine will give you a Notecard explaining how to do it. (Don't worry, it's not difficult. You just have to open each Rezzer inside the machine, put the name you gave the machine into the Name AND Description fields of each Target's Properties, and then touch each Rezzer to engage it. (It will go from white to invisible.) The Notecard goes into detailed instructions in case you don't already know how to do this.)
To further configure the machine, you must type its name on the machine's special config channel. Touch the machine (but not on the start buttons!) and it will show you its current settings and the config channel. Type its name on that channel, and you can change the machine's settings. Only the owner can do this, of course.
To play, touch the start button. Your name will appear on the scoreboard, and the game will start. It will last until your cities are gone, then rank you among other players. If set to do so, it will give a prize to the player. Then the machine will go into idle mode again, displaying the top 5 high scores.
Have fun!
