Woven straw spiral zabuton (Edo period, 1603-1868 century) with animated seiza (正座 - sitting on knees).
Inspired by Shōgun (将軍) the American historical drama television series created by Rachel Kondo and Justin Marks and based on the 1975 novel by James Clavell.
"Seiza hurts your legs. You can't get up right away. The lord had his servants sit on the seiza to prevent him from being killed.
The lord was afraid of his subordinates."
