The nuclearpunk has a long history within SL. It was developed many years ago and further improved ever since. The idea has been around for a long time. These vehicles, although far slower, are more precise and survive better on sim crossings.
The legend says that the nuclearpunk vehicles use Soviet plutonium stolen from al-Quaida and that they work like steam or diesel engines using this sort of energy and ensuring a radiation level only twice above lethal.

<>Objects:
SAMPLE VEHICLE 1
This is the simplest vehicle possible, just a chair. Enjoy the ride! It is the lowest-lag possible vehicle.
NUCLEARPUNK HUD
Wear this to control the vehicle.
INSTRUCTIONS HUD
Wear this for quick instructions.
SAMPLE VEHICLE
This is a more complicated ship. It is ready for a ride!
<>Scripts:
BUTTONS SCRIPT
This is the script inside buttons from the 'Atomic HUD'.
LINK SCRIPT
This is actually the brain which controls all the other scripts. It tells the others what to do.
LISTEN SCRIPT
This script listens to commands from the HUD and tells the 'Link' and the 'Train' what to do.
ENGINE SCRIPT
This is the engine that pushes the vehicle forwards for all modes except train movement.
ROTATION SCRIPT
This controls rotations.
TRAIN ENGINE
This is a modified version of the VRC train engine, adapted for nuclearpunk technology.
<>OPERATIONS:
The following buttons and functions are available:
-- MODE:
- DIE: press the skull button and the vehicle will die automatically.
- RESET: press the compass and all will stop, resetting all engines to zero and rotation to zero.
- AIRPLANE: airplane movement. The vehicle will fly. You can change the angle it flies, the direction and speed. Unlike physical engines, if you stop, the vehicle will get stuck in the air.
- HELICOPTER: basically the same as airplane, only that while moving up and down the vehicle does not rotate up and down. This allows you to move vertically.
- BOAT: move on surface of water. If boat command is activated while above or below surface, the vehicle will go towards water.
- SUBMARINE: to move between water surface and sea bottom. You can move like a boat in submarine mode.
- TRAIN: allows you to move along conventional railways (like those in Heterocera).
- CAR: hovers above ground surface. Non-physical vehicles cannot interact with objects and therefore they will just pass through roads and buildings.
-- BEHAVIOUR:
- LEFT-RIGHT: This works in all modes except train (trains follow the railway). The far-left and far-right buttons will make you turn continuously. The mid-left and mid-right buttons will only make you slightly turn left or right. The middle button stops rotation.
- UP-DOWN: This works in airplane and helicopter modes. For submarines, it works only below water surface. The far-left and far-right buttons will make you turn up or down more. The mid-left and mid-right buttons will only make you slightly dive or climb. The middle button stops you from climbing or diving.
- POWER: This works in all modes. The far-left and far-right buttons will make you increase or decrease speed significantly. The mid-left and mid-right buttons will only make you slightly change speed. The middle button stops vehicle.
-- SPECIAL BUTTONS:
- ANCHOR: for boat and submarine mode, go to water surface (useful if you were previously flying at high altitude).
- TRAIN: for train mode, turn into reverse.
- UP-DOWN: for car mode, increase or decrease hovering elevation.
- SUBMARINE: for submarine mode, go to sea floor.
<>PROBLEMS:
- Vehicle will STOP in the air and not fall down. This is specific to non-physical vehicles. It allows you to reconfigure something without risking a crash.
- Vehicle suddenly stops. Watch for land that does not allow scripts to run!
- Abnormal turning when entering/leaving train mode! This is because train script works in a different way and uses different settings.
- Strange angles? It happens if you dive-climb too much. Press the reset (compass) button.
- System not working? Press the reset button and try again. Also, check land restrictions.
- Lost my vehicle? Don't worry. It will self-destruct if left alone for too long.
<>FOR SELLERS, BUILDERS & MERCHANTS:
- You are licensed to use the scripts inside your own vehicles and sell them.
- You are licensed to improve the scripts and resell them.
- You are allowed to share the scripts with a friend.
- You are not allowed to give the scripts for free.
Commerce is what keeps so many merchants active in SL. By offering this for free, you destroy other residents' initiative and desire to build and improve. Don't give these scripts as freebies! You are destroying more than you're helping.
When using these scripts inside a vehicle, ROTATION is very important. At ZERO_ROTATION, <0,0,0> or (0,0,0) in degrees, your vehicle must point towards EAST.
