The pier consists of the wooden stand or sit platform, the columns and the linen shadow sail. So you can texture your sit area separately of the columns case you like it.

So what is the pier though for? You can use it in the water, you can park your sail boat in front of it.

But as well you can place it as sit platform into the grass and have party with your friends.

You can take the item and resize it. Take the sun-sail off - voila! - a shop display is won for the same price.

What do you have to know how to use your pier: The pier is a sculpty. As such you can look at it, but if want to you enter your pier, you must set the platform and columns to phantom. So what phantom? You want to stand there and use it.

Here comes the solution: Put anything below it. I will deliver your pier platform with a nicely animated water which will serve for this purpose. You can use the water but as well you can put your pier to the grass oder use any transparent prim you like.

Or you just put your sit or stand animation into your prim. Then it works as well and does not cost you one prim more.

You can do everything with your pier! The platform item is full permission!
