THIS ITEM REMAINS FOR PRESTIGE ONLY!!! It is VERY high resolution and WILL skyrocket your avatar complexity!

The pixie is one of the most powerful fae in the forest. Her wings are not as decorative as the sylph's, which makes the pixie a very strong and agile flier, and she is quick of wit, putting her speed and agility to good use.

These pixie wings are fully animated, fully functional wings. They open, fold away, and animate when you jump or fly to give a very realistic buzzing effect. Included is a hud controller. The wings will not interfere with your AO, as all animation is done through scripting. The images are unretouched screenshots taken directly from Second Life.

Everything we have learned, at times through trial and error and bumbling forward into the darkness until we bumped our collective head against a wall, has gone into the making of these mesh wings. We have studied the structure of actual insect wings, as well as the motions they go through in order to achieve flight. We have played with mesh uploads, downloads, overloads and more than a few mistakes in order to learn how to get as much detail as we can out of Second Life meshes. We have experimented with many methods to animate meshes and make them look realistic. At times things went so well that we would work on them for hours at a time. At other times things would go so badly that we would ragequit. We won't argue with the results.

Because this is the demo version, we can't provide modify rights to resize these wings, however the full retail version is resizable to fit nearly any avatar, including tiny, petite and micro avatars. This version of the wings is provided free of charge so you can see the wings in action inside Second Life.

Awesome wings, but...

The LOD settings are ridiculously high, which makes them VERY, VERY high-complexity! (For example, the lowest LOD setting should be 0.) 330k+ is insane! If these were re-uploaded with MUCH lower LOD settings, they'd be perfect.

Beautiful wings but..

These wings are just what I was looking for, though sadly they are very laggy. And I do not usually have a problem with lag. That is the only thing stopping me from buying the full version because I know if I do, I will never use them simply because of that issue. If this could be fixed, that would be great. Other than that, the wings are wonderfully textured and the animations are very realistic! The creator nailed those aspects.

Nice try...

Sorry, but I think you missed the mark.

Folded, they look like the wings of a house fly.

Open, they're completely static, like the wings of some kid in Tiaras for Toddlers. One who's helpful father knew a lot about bugs, but nothing about pretty. These would be good to mount on your wall, but on an avatar they're stiff and lifeless.

Flapping... oh dear. Are you serious?

But the real reason no one should even try this demo is the Render Weight.

335140!!!

Fellow fae, be kind to the others on your sim. Skip these wings.

Initially I couldn't see the Demo sign. o_O But these are extraordinarily well done; the way they flap is extremely realistic, and I love that they automatically flap even when you jump. I think the full version is worth the price tag; just gotta save up! XD
