Planets in Our Solar System

The universe contains many planets which make it what it is – a unified system.

This package contains the following Night Sky Moon & Day Cycle Environments:

Mercury - The smallest planet in our solar system and nearest to the Sun, Mercury is only slightly larger than Earth's Moon.

Venus - Venus is the second planet from the Sun and is Earth’s closest planetary neighbor. It’s one of the four inner, terrestrial (or rocky) planets, and it’s often called Earth’s twin because it’s similar in size and density.

Earth - Our home planet is the third planet from the Sun, and the only place we know of so far that’s inhabited by living things.

Mars - Mars is the fourth planet from the Sun – a dusty, cold, desert world with a very thin atmosphere. Mars is also a dynamic planet with seasons, polar ice caps, canyons, extinct volcanoes, and evidence that it was even more active in the past.

Jupiter has a long history of surprising scientists – all the way back to 1610 when Galileo Galilei found the first moons beyond Earth. That discovery changed the way we see the universe.

Saturn is the sixth planet from the Sun and the second-largest planet in our solar system.

Uranus is the seventh planet from the Sun and has the third-largest diameter in our solar system.

Dark, cold, and whipped by supersonic winds, ice giant Neptune is the eighth and most distant planet in our solar system.

Pluto is a dwarf planet in the Kuiper Belt

Dwarf planet Ceres is the largest object in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter, and it's the only dwarf planet located in the inner solar system.

Jupiter's moon Io is the most volcanically active world in the Solar System, with hundreds of volcanoes, some erupting lava fountains dozens of miles (or kilometers) high.

Jupiter's moon Europa may be the most promising place in our solar system to find present-day environments suitable for some form of life beyond Earth.

Saturn’s largest moon Titan is an extraordinary and exceptional world.

In this Sky Environment Day, the Planets are in the west.

Advanced Users can use Personal Lighting to move the Galaxies & Nebulas anywhere in the sky! These are also mod with the option of adjusting the sky and cloud settings to your liking.

EEP (Environmental Enhancement Project) is a new feature by LL to allow for custom environment settings to be shared in SL.

Right click on the EEP Object in your inventory, and click > Apply Only to Myself
You can also edit the EEP further by going to the World tab > Environment > Personal Lighting.

Region owners and parcel owners can copy the Day Cycle into inventory (setting folder is typically used).

If you own or have permissions to change the environment on a parcel of land, you can set custom environmental settings on the World > About Land > Environment tab.
Other visitors to that parcel will share the same environmental experience by default.
Private region owners or estate managers can also set custom environmental settings for their entire region through the World > Region/Estate > Environment tab.

Make sure to tell your guests to go to the World tab on top of their screen < Environment < Use Shared Environments to experience the EEP Settings you have customized for your region and/or parcel!
