Easy but doesn't have all features advertised
It IS easy....rez it....change the meters in description for range of scan.....click it to turn on
However, it says it IMs you when someone comes in range, it does NOT. It does post it in local, but no IM as advertised. There was no box to unpack and no offered instructions either. There's no menu when you click the device to get any instructions either.
Bottom line, it will detect, it will post it in local, that's it. It's good for the price, but doesn't offer everything it advertises to offer.
this was really easy..
i noticed someone managed to rez and item on my land when it was set to group access only and wanted something easy that would notify me while i was away if anyone was on my land.. all i had to do was rez this and set the range in the description and click it to turn it on.. it took me less than 10 sec to set it up and another 10 to move it in the place i wanted it to be.. not sure what the other reviews are going on about

I read the review that it doesn't work and doesn't have instructions, but I decided to give this a try anyway. I'm glad I did.
When you rez the box, there's hover text that says to accept everything. It then sends you a message with a link to instructions on the web and a group joiner. I accepted both, followed the instructions on the website, and it works fine for me! It gives the location of the visitor, when it IMs. It also tells you if the visitor goes out of range. Granted, the visitor could have moved by the time you get there. If the range is small, it shouldn't matter too much. My only complaint is that it also monitors me. I really don't need to be IMed about when I enter or exit it's range. I am, however, going to suggest it to a friend.

very nice and easy to use. but the "went out of range" msg, sometimes comes late.. an update will be good :)
