Amazing aircraft handles sim crossing like a pro
if your looking for the aircraft that handles well at sim crossings look no further and is fairly priced i totally enjoyed flying it you will too!!!
This is NOT a good plane for beginners... It's a GREAT plane for everyone !!!
Was anxious to try this. I've had SIM crossing trouble & almost gave up SL flying because of that. When I read that this could go thru sims like butter even with passengers, I said I GOTTA TRY THIS BAD BOY!!! I'm sure glad I did.
UNPACKING: Nothing in there but the plane. When you rez it, clicking on it will bring up a menu offering HUD (generic, but ok), a LOCK feature, CAM control, ENGINE on/off, a handy REPOSITIONER, and a HELP button. All work except HELP.
PLANE unmarked. No fancy detail. Burgundy color. Very nice, but non functioning instrument panel. Cabin doors function on both sides as does a luggage compartment door on the pilot's side. If you know how, you could paint this up nicely. Two position flaps (f) up/down. Parking brake (br) and landing light (ll). Gear is fixed. SOUND is fine. Taxiing fine except when on the ground and engine on, if you move the rudder, the plane will spin around. If that annoys you, just don't do it. Cockpit visibility in MOUSELOOK is excellent. That's not always the case in many aircraft.
The first time, I flew solo. Go heavy on the throttle as it takes a longer roll before rotation. Lifts off smooth. Banks sweetly. This is a pretty smooth flyer. Climbs decently. Time to ram a sim line. WOW! Sailed right through it. CAPTAIN SANTOR bought the rights to include the Lorefield Technology into the design engine and I must admit, it works pretty darned good. Descent and landing was smooth. Would be nice to have an audible landing sound. I tried landing with and without flaps to see if they really worked. Let's just say, with flaps I could almost float it in to flare point.
Now I tried it with multiple passengers. Results same. I tried hitting sim junctions. A few times there was a little shudder, but mostly great.
The plane's low prim design makes it a WINNER. I've bought a bunch of junk airplanes & this may cost a wee bit more, but its MUCH cheaper than the high end SL planes. GREAT trainer. GREAT value. BUY IT!
