Part of our Land, Sea and Air Racing series, Sea Racing has everything you need to set up a sea racing circuit that will provide hours of fun for you and your visitors. Use it with any SL speedboat, jet ski, sailboat or any other type of watercraft that is drivable or wearable. Included are two sizes to fit your venue, a 30m wide starting area for open water and a 20m wide starting area suitable for lake or river racing. Comes with the state-of-the-art Lap Timer. Integrated into each floating sarting area is a large floating LED display which shows a racer's current lap/time and displays the first place, second place and third place winners when a race is over. The starting area is festive and exciting, bouys are included to mark the racing circuit if needed. Everything comes in easy to use rez boxes, simply rez your kit, move (or drag-copy) bouys around your racing circuit and go, go, go!

A typical sim-sized sea racing circuit with starting area and floating LED display is less than 100 prims. All parts are copy/mod so you can customize them as desired.
About the Lap Timer
Up to 10 racers can use the Lap Timer, simply touch it to start a race. The Lap Timer will add your name and invite others to join your race. 30 seconds after the last racer joins, the Lap Timer will give an "on your mark, get set, go!" sequence in chat, on the LED Display, on the Lap Timer's hovertext and with color-coded indications on the Lap Timer itself. Our special "cheater beater" system keeps racers honest at the starting line. Upon receiving the "GO!!!" indication, racers must leave the starting area immediately or risk being fouled out of the race. Racers should never linger in the start/finish area until they have completed the race. As each racer completes a lap, their times are announced in chat and posted to the LED Display and the Lap Timer's hovertext. As racers finish, 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners are announced and posted. After the race, scores are posted to the "Previous Race" hovertext for review while the Lap Timer quickly resets itself, ready for the next race. If no activity is detected within three minutes (or one minute if there is a winner) the Lap Timer ends the race and enters idle mode. The owner can set the number of laps in a race by putting a number into the Lap Timer's description field.
NOTES: This system is low-lag/no-lag, it is secure by design and it works with any drivable or wearable vehicle in SL. (Vehicles are not included.) Sim boundaries do not affect this system, make your circuit as large as you want it. The Lap Timer's inactivity timeout interval is three minutes. Other than fouling out a racer that "jumps the gun" or lingers in the starting area, no attempts have been made to make this racing system cheater-proof. There are just too many ways to beat any anti-cheating system in SL. As in RL, all public racing events should be monitored by officials.
