Just the thing for Away Team missions, this handy phaser pistol lets the natives know that you are not a person to be trifled with.
A highly-detailed model (yet with a lag-friendly land impact of 1), the phaser pistol is materials enabled, giving it a more realistic texturing than simple colouring alone could achieve.
The phaser can be worn on your hip and drawm/holstered through a simple chat command on channel 5 (so no speaking in public chat is required).
Once drawn, your phaser can be fired by clicking your left mouse button, producing the expected bright blue beam and a sound effect sampled directly from the original series.
Please note that the phaser pistol does no actual damage; it is simply a prop/accessory/special effect. It is modifiable, however, so you can always drop in your favourite damage/weapon scripts.

Perfect for cosplay and/or RP.
This is a pretty spot-on recreation of the TOS-era Phaser II. While it is NOT set up for combat (it won't work with mouselook) it's a great-looking piece that will spice up any costume contest or non-combat rp.

Buyer be careful
This thing is well-made, looks good. Laser effect/sound are just like in the series.
However, if you're looking for one that you can aim and target like pretty much any other SL gun... this isn't it. If all you want/need is a pretty costume prop, this is definitely good for that. But it doesn't work at all in Mouselook, so if that's what you're looking for, this isn't going to do that.
It's a very good item, for what it's made to be, and certainly for the price. But, if you're looking for one that'll work in Mouselook, this isn't that.

I wanted just a simple but cool phaser and that's exactly what this is! It has the option to holster or draw it and even shoots a laser! Love it!
