As a venue owner of one of the top coffee house live music venues in SL, I have struggled with different tip jars I have purchased in SL. Some suffer from feature bloat, some just don't work, I was willing to pay for a decent script but I never really found anything I LOVED.
Most music venues in SL are small. Most performers are busy singing, regardless of which side of the equation you are on, we do a lot for our money...
TipTwister was designed to make things EASIER by automating the thank you from OWNER to the person tipping (not just from the tip jar, Tip Twister DOES BOTH!!!). THIS IS THE BEST TIP JAR SCRIPT IN SL! PICK ANYTHING TO BE YOUR JAR AND ADD SCRIPT TO CONTENTS!
You can have anything be your tip jar. Anything. Just add your Configuration NC and script to contents and this script does a ton. Depending on how much someone tips it gives them a higher compliment for tipping more. And it isn't the same old "Thanks for your Linden love.". They are clever and fun. I have a very large venue. 70 meters by 50 meters. All tip jars hover text disappears after about 12 meters. Support had me make a prim then stretch it 50 meters tall, put my TipTalk Configuration NC and script in, make it invisible and then link anything I wanted to the top of it for my jar. It worked wonders. You can see my hosts and house tip jars hovertext from anywhere in the venue. It's easy and you can customize the hell out of it. There is no better way to go. BUY IT and something fun you like for a jar.
