* WEB MEDIA ENABLED
This PC incorporates all the technology supported by SL's version 2 client to bring you all the web media you are used to seeing online, but now in-world. Surf the web, watch YouTube videos, play Flash sites, all on the screen of your DX. Set your own Home Page so friends or clients can use the system when you're away.
* IM NOTIFICATIONS
You can set your laptop to IM you if people arrive nearby. The system reports the name of the visitor in IM to you, wherever you are in world. This is hugely useful if you need to leave your base area on other business but want to zoom back to greet friends or important clients/prospects, on their arrival. The system checks to see if you are online before sending notifications to avoid spamming your RL email with messages you can't respond to.
* WEB ACCESS
Set up your PC to launch a web browser and go directly to any web site you desire. Select the appropriate menu option and simply say (in chat) the full URL including http://. This will let visitors browse your business or personal web site selection. This is compatible with older versions of SL software.
* EMAIL
Send emails direct from the laptop to ANY email address.
Receive emails from anyone you choose. Unlike all other PC's in Second Life, in-bound messages will find you* even if you are away from your PC
* MONITOR
The PC will monitor who comes within range of it and compile a report for you in the form of a log file, a list of Avatar names who have been in the vicinity, on demand. You can define how near or how far the PC scans for visitors.
You can also select the laptop to display real-time scan data in hovertext above the screen to keep an eye on who's in the approach zone.
* GREETER
Define your own personalised greeting message, just say your greeting in chat (as for web access above) to define your greeting. Note that the greeting can be set on or off, independent of having defined it. Greeter also addresses the guest avatar by name.
* ONLINE STATUS
Have your laptop report your online status (<your name> is on-line / off-line), Alternatively it can report on that of the land owner the laptop is residing on (useful for land related transactions).
* RANGE
Many DX functions are range selectable and can be user defined via a simple menu system. All functions are either menu selected or specified simply by saying (chat) the words you want to use. No notecard editing is needed.
* SECURITY
Menu commands allow you to lock the computer so no one can use it, or unlock it for public access. When locked, attempts to access the device, together with the name of the avatar, are silently passed to you. Only the owner can operate the security feature. NOTE: Go to SECURITY (main menu) and UNLOCK your computer upon delivery.

Best Purchase Ever
I spend a lot in SL and I really like tech and gadgets but this is the best & most useful thing I think I ever bought. It does everything the ad says and I just can't say enough about it, so I'll just say this instead - this is the BEST!!!
FANTASTIC COMPUTER ! ! !
I spoke to the Developer who made this and his 13+ years of programming really shows in this top flight gadget. I can't think of anything useful it doesn't do!! It's my greeter, my contact maker, my 'personal secretary' when I'm offline, and more. You can find so many uses for it. Just a total pleasure to use. It's a little costly, but it totally delivers on that!
Powerful, versatile, and a lot of fun!
This is the 2nd one of these laptops I have bought (the first for a friend) and it's amazing. I can't think of anything it doesn't do that anyone could ask of a SL computer, serious business or personal assistant, and it's a fun toy too. Ten stars if that were possible!
Buyer Beware
I reviewed this laptop once with a caveat. In short, it was huge and wouldn't resize smaller AND was no copy given the price (I knew about the no copy previously, I'm just mentioning it as it meant I wasn't able to play around with the laptop as, if I messed it up, I'd be out one laptop).
Well, the creator/seller contacted me and sent me an 'adjustment pack' with the following instruction: "If you make sure the laptop is rezzed FIRST, then rez this adjustment pack adjacent to it (so, second), that should solve your problem" without mentioning HOW it would do so.
Sounds good, though, right? Well, it sure DID solve my problem. I did as he suggested and the laptop AND adjustment pack both disappeared, quite literally, in a puff of smoke. So NOW I am down the initial L$1500 AND a laptop.
I am reporting this seller to LL as I suspect his action was malicious given that he was online when I said I was about to try it but once the laptop disappeared and I attempted to contact him again ... a matter of just a couple minutes... he was 'conveniently' offline. He probably didn't like my initial review but, I suspect, he will like this one even less.
I would strongly advise buyers to shop elsewhere as this seller is dubious to say the least.
P.S. The 'money back' guarantee was NOT forthcoming!
