The Tornado Version 2.3

Tornado whose direction of travel can be controlled using a HUD. For best effects, use on SL ground and outdoors. Dimensions is about 30m high, 45m in diameter for the tornado cloud.

For maximum visual density, check your Graphics Preferences in your SL viewer - Max Particle Count should be set to highest. How good it looks may vary from sim to sim. For example, particle effects work better in a sim with high Basic FPS (frames per second).

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Rez tornado by dragging it to the ground.
(It is a coalesced object in your inventory, but when rezzed, there are 2 parts:
the tornado cloud, and the base touching the ground. Both are invisible until the tornado is activated).

2. Wear the tornado control HUD.

3. To start the tornado, you can either click on the power button on the HUD or click the tornado base.
(If you click the tornado cloud, it will form the funnel cloud but there will not be a touch-down until you click the tornado base).

TORNADO HUD

* Power button - This will start generating the funnel cloud in the sky. Also, the wind column should descend from the cloud to the base (" tornado touch down").

* Move buttons (arrows) - Click the arrows to move the tornado. The direction is relative to where your avatar is facing.

* Tail - You can set the tornado to tail (follow) an avatar in the same region, including yourself.

* Stay - This will cancel the tail function.

CHAT COMMANDS (without wearing Control HUD)
If you are within listen range (20m) of the tornado base, you can also say "/80 tail" and "/80 stay" to activate/cancel the tail function.
