It all began during a moment of madness, and prolly one Firefly viewing too many. Once started there was no way back. It ain't perfect, but here you find my interpretation of what Mal & Co might be drooling over if only they'd ever made it into SL.
If none of the above means anything to you, don't worry - just click away, cuz you're obviously not a Browncoat. We shan't hold that against ya.
The engine spins just fine, but due to my inadequate scripting skills I never did manage to complete the proper angle conversions to allow it to be turned post rez without going boggle. Meaning, you can move it (and the separate engine chassis mount) no prob, but sadly you can't rotate it. All phone calls to Kaylee remained unanswered.
I know there's a Firefly community in SL, so maybe someone out there will get a shiny kick out of this. Meanwhile my days in pixel paradise are coming to a middle, but I didn't want to scram without leaving this behind.
Prim count is 69 for the engine and 13 for the mount.
The engine has been set to "copy" status, but in case that doesn't percolate down to the last texture I've included 2 spares in the retail box.
- inspired by Firefly & Serenity series/movie
- rotation animation (click to start/stop)
- includes exhaust smoke and engine mount
- purists: this is *not* an exact copy, nor to scale
- due to complex animation engine will not spin true if rotated post rez
