This is a basic visitor detector. It creates a list of everyone who visits within the range you specify. The scan range can be set anywhere from just a few meters to several thousand meters. You can also enable IM notifications to notify you when a new visitor has been added to the visitor list. Also, with Autohide enabled, the prim will automatically hide itself when the owner is more than 5 meters away. Simply click the visitor detector to make the menu appear.
Tip: After rezzing a visitor detector, rename it to describe the area it is in. For example, if you place it in your skybox, you could rename it to "Skybox Visitor Detector".
Note: The visitor detector will record a maximum of 250/500 visitors in the visitor list, depending on whether or not timestamps are enabled. With timestamps enabled, the limit is 250. With timestamps disabled, the limit is 500. Timestamps are disabled by default. Once this limit has been reached, the oldest entries will automatically be removed to make room for newer visitors. This is to prevent script crashes as well as to retain script performance. Timestamps are recorded in GMT(aka UTC) time zone format. An adjustable time zone may be available in the future.

TP Links(Version 1.6 and later):
With TP Links enabled, any time the visitor detector notifies you of a new visitor via IM, it will include a teleportation link which will teleport you directly to that visitor's location at the time they were detected.
Please be prompt when using this feature as the visitor may have already left the area by the time you click the link.
The message will also include how many meters away that avatar is from the visitor detector at the time they were detected, which is to give you an indication as to whether or not you should in fact teleport to them. Please be mindful of neighbors who might inadvertently come into range.
Note: Parcel and region settings can affect teleportation links. If you teleport to a parcel with a landing point, try clicking the link a second time. Also, the links will not work if the region has "direct teleport" disabled. In most cases, you need not worry about this.

Multi-Visit Timer(new in version 1.7):
The Multi-Visit Timer, or "MV Timer" for short, is a timer which allows you to specify the minimum amount of time, in hours, the visitor detector must wait before adding someone to the list again since their last visit. For example, if you have the timer set to 3 hours, and someone is added to the list, it will be at least another 3 hours before they can be added again. This allows the visitor detector to record multiple visits by the same person. By default, the MV Timer is off, which means that the visitor detector will not record subsequent visits by someone who is already in the list. This setting will vary depending on your own situation. If you start receiving too many notifications, try taking it up to the next level. For example, instead of 3 hours, try 6 hours, etc. You have 9 settings to choose from for the MV Timer(in hours): Off, 1, 3, 6, 12, 24, 48, 72, and 168(1 week).

Simple & clean. Works well, does as described.
Only two points that fell flat for me: (1) I wish that when receiving an IM notification of a new visitor or when checking the visitor list, the visitors' usernames linked to the respective user's profile, as is the case in some other visitor detectors/security devices. Also (2), I wish I could detect every single visit made from the same person (as opposed to having to choose between detecting multiple visits at a hour apart, which isn't useful to me, or not at all) although I get that maybe that wasn't the purpose you created this for (I'm using this for a personal residence, not a commercial or more public/high traffic use). Other than that, it works fine and isn't costly. It's a simple utility more than anything.
I won't be using this for the time being as it didn't fulfill my personal usage purposes. While I am disappointed, I wouldn't say that it takes away from the actual objective quality.
The menu is very clean, simple, and extremely easy to use. I really like that you can switch on and off the auto-hide and that you can easily put the script into any household item too.
Great detector!
The scripting of this is so clever and it's so simple to operate. One thing I love about it is that you don't have to be the landowner to use it (though of course you do need to have rezz rights). My land is owned by an alt, so this still works for me as the main avatar. Every feature is just amazingly simple and relevant. I am still working out Autohide - does this mean that the Detector can be hidden? But it doesn't disappear when I click it. But I am sure this is just a lack of my understanding! I probably need to re-read the notes that came with it. Anyway, this is a great little script! Thank you!
