BOOMERANG PACKAGE CONTENTS
In this package you will find the boomerang along with a Hip Holster. There are two versions of the hip holster included. One is labelled scripted, the other unscripted. The scripted version will disappear when you click on it (and arm the boomerang in your hand), the unscripted version will not disappear and is for ascetic purposes only.

To use this boomerang right click on it in your inventory and wear it.

HOW TO THROW
This boomerang is not like an SL gun, to throw it you need to charge your throw power up first.

To do this click on the left mouse button and hold it down. You will see you arm pull back. When you let go of the mouse button you will throw the boomerang. The longer you hold the left mouse button down to charge your throw, the harder you will throw it.

You can throw the boomerang in both mouselook mode and in normal 3rd person Avatar view. If you want to restrict throwing to mouselook mode only, you can choose this as an option in the options menu. You can only aim the boomerang while in mouselook mode. When you are outside of mouselook it will fly in the general direction your avatar is facing.

If the boomerang does not return, do not worry! When you throw the boomerang it will attempt to return. If it does your avatar will catch it. If the boomerang does not return however for any reason, or you attempt to throw the boomerang before it has returned a new one will appear in your hand automatically.

THE OPTIONS MENU
If you say in chat /1boomermenu you will find a blue drop down menu of options. The available options are as follows...

PowerMeter - Although the animation to charge your throw is timed to fit the maximum throw force possible, you may wish to have a numeric indicator to help you. When the PowerMeter is toggled on you will see a percentage of power on your boomerang indicating how much force your throw will have.

ML Only - If you want to make sure you can only throw the boomerang while in mouselook mode select this option. This is useful if you do not want to accidentally throw it.

Arm/Disarm - This option can be used to arm/disarm the boomerang. This is so that you do not need to detach the boomerang when not in use.

Type - This will display the 3 boomerang type settings. The options include...

Fun Only - A No Damage/No Push Boomerang. Will still cause particle effects, and do damage in combat systems that require a projectile over a certain velocity to work. You can also use this mode to fight combat evolution monsters. Please see www.combatevolution.com for more info.

1HitKill - This will do maximum damage in areas where SL Damage is permitted, sending an avatar to there home location.

Nudge - In places that have push enabled you will be able to use this setting to push avatars that the boomerang hits.


IMPORTANT NOTES

Please be aware that this boomerang requires you have build permission on the land you are on for it to function.

Please also keep in mind, that in laggy situations you may find that the thrown boomerang has a tendency to fly off, get stuck or not render on your screen correctly. It is best used on a sim that has little lag.
