NOTE: These are mesh birds so you must have a mesh enabled viewer to use them.
These mischievous Crows make great SL companions. Send them off to forage for peanuts, or take advantage of a sudden rain shower and let them take a bath! They'll spy a stray peanut near-by and fly off and return on their own, or you can send them off flying by the Menu, make them go to sleep, rename them, etc. Sound can be turned off and on and Bonus sounds are included, as well as a Crow particle poofer.
Bonus: Packaging Crate... the poor fellow clearly should be set free! (Just open by right clicking and "Open" to inventory)
The animations for the Hand version are set at priority 4. Only the areas actually used for the animations have key frames.
- Animated Shoulder & Glove Crows.
- Scripted Mesh Falconry Gloves, Alpha and Clothing Layers
- Menu Driven as well as random behavior.
- 3 Petting and a Riding Animation.
- Both free flying and attached flying.
The best crow pet in SL
I saw someone with this (Rick Daylight... thanks for taking the time to talk to me) and had to have my own crow!
There's just nothing else like it. With regards to the previous reviewer's comments on the animations: this is really about the best you can do in SL without going animesh. Now that would be good, but until one comes out this is as good as it gets.
Quite nice overall
The shape of the mesh is well done, so is the texture. Visually, it definitely looks like a crow from all angles. The sound quality is pretty good, although I've heard better crow sounds, but that's really me being REAAAAALLY picky. The HUD is pretty intuitive and a note card with instructions is very helpful explaining further. Love the rain effect and the peanuts. It actually pulls out the peanuts out of the shells that get rezzed, pretty cool. After playing with it, I can say it's awesooooome. Minus the thing I'm about to say below.
The biggest thing that disappointed me was the animation of the crow. The movement is pretty janky and it kills the realism. I don't know how difficult it is to animate objects in SL, but it'd be nice for it to be better. Due to this, sometimes I think something is broken with the bird when it moves once very second rather than a smooth transition in the movement. Maybe it'll be better in the future updates, who knows. And no, I probably can't do it better, I can only see it how it could be better. This is what happens when you study animation. @_@

I had a snake pet for a while that i would have around my neck but I wanted something more. This pet is in it's own definition is well worth every linden. I thought i would get a shoulder pet with basic head movement but the endless features just made me add to every outfit.

Exactly what I was after
Great look and easy to use. I wanted birds with no sound, but this crate has both.
Lands exactly where it should on my avatar. Couldn't have asked for more.
realistic and complet product
there is a lot of option with this realistic crow. Perfect for the RP. 650 isn't expensive for this quality.
