A detailed traditional hachimaki (鉢巻) headband. Included in the box is one headband with the kanji slogan and a second plain headband without a slogan or a rising sun.

A Hachimaki is suitable for any Japanese themed outfit or costume, especially for cosplay or roleplay in historical or anime themed sims. They are also well suited for swordsmen or martial artists.

The items are no-mod but equipped with a resize script for easy fitting through a menu. Detailed fitting instructions and tips included.

THE HACHIMAKI
Hachimaki headbands are traditionally worn in many situations, as a symbol of perseverence or effort by the wearer. It is both a way to display determination and to reinforce the wearers spirit. Their origin is uncertain but one theory is that they were worn by the Samurai under their helmets. "Hachimaki" translates to "helmet-scarf". They may also have had a religious origin, to ward off evil spirits.

In Western countries the Hachimaki is perhaps most commonly associated with the Kamikaze suicide pilots during world war II, but this is a bit of a misconception. The Hachimaki can be worn by anyone facing a challenge or struggle. Today they can be seen on sport spectators, martial artists, craftsmen, students, youth gangs and they are even worn by some women during childbirth. In fiction Hachimaki is often seen on anime and manga heroes.
