Great little machine, some scripting issues
Pros: this little guy has a lot going for him! I was looking for a steampunk-style bike and the design aesthetic on this is great and stands out without being another 'motorcycle with some steamtech bits tacked on.' It's mesh with some visible sculpties, but I think the look holds up pretty well. The included sounds are appropriate, and it has some neat visuals as it runs. Price is very reasonable and it's faily low-lag and pretty fast and maneuverable! Both male and female average sizes are included, and the bike itself is resizable in the SL edit menu, so you can tweak it to fit your avi. Great fun to drive once you get it going.
Cons: Getting it going required a little scripting and modding on my part. It was MOSTLY ready out of the box, but there are some caveats. The bike script has a line in it that causes the 'riding' animation to stop while you idle, so it looks like you're floating above the bike whenever you stop moving. Thankfully, the entire bike is moddable, so it's just a matter of editing the offending script, if you have the know-how to do that. For those that don't, that's probably a deal-breaker and renders it largely undriveable. The included position and drive scripts are a little clunky and doesn't have any options for additional animations, gears or permissions, so if you're looking for anything like that, this isn't gonna work. It's pretty bare bones in that regard, but at this price that's probably to be expected.
