SanSanKudo (三々九度) is the "three times three nine times" ritual intended to signify an unbreakable bond between two people. It is commonly a part of a Japanese Shinto-Style wedding ceremony. This SanSanKudo set is intended to be used for wedding ceremonies. Typically at least 3 avatars are needed to fully utilize the set: a bride, a groom and priest.

The bride and groom each have three sake cups of different sizes. During the ceremony, the priest will first pour sake for the groom in small cup. The priest will pour three times, interrupting the pour the first two times, and actually pouring on the last time. The groom will then use a similar procedure in drinking, first bringing the cup to his lips twice then drinking on the third time. The priest then repeats the procedure for the bride in her small cup. This whole exchange between the groom and the bride takes place three times repeating with the medium and large cups.

This SanSanKudo set is fully scripted and animated and includes a HUD for the priest to control the ceremony.

Excellent! Except for the cushions.

As a member of the SL Geisha community, I bought this in order to properly commemorate the debut of a Maiko, a Geisha apprentice (what sansankudo has to do with this is another topic). I was looking around for a celebratory sake set but didn't find anything, then I stumbled upon this. And I was really amazed! Everything is so nicely sculpted and textured (and animated, though there are no animations for actually drinking). This is something I would have never hoped for.

But the thing that really bothers me are the cushions. Everything else is so nicely sculpted, but the cushions are just ordinary prims. They would look better if they were sculpted as well!
And I understand that there is a meaning behind each color, but if everything is built up it looks like the French flag (I have nothing against France, but I found this a little bit distracting in the actual ceremony). It would be better if there was a menu to pick the textures/colors, so you could make it match your ambience.

As the SL Geisha community is very big and sansankudo is something that is performed quite often in it, I am sure this set could be sold very well if there was a texture choice for the cushions. But beside this, I'm totally happy about it!
