Many Features, and a low price - and now includes a separate traffic/avatar counter
Menu driven option ... or use notecard if you are tired of entries....or use both.
Important note: Can work for an owner if the owner owns the land directly, or for a group, although the settings differ. If using it for a group IT MUST be deeded to the group (we suggest as the last item you do, not the first) since only an object belonging to the land owner (group in this case) can reliably eject an avatar.
Features:
1. COPY =YES (transfer = no), means you can make many copies
2. Two ways to use it - for both owner and group usage both: (1) "yes" list means only those on the yes list are allowed to be there, and (2 ) "no" list where anyone is allowed except those on the no list.
3. Can be used with a renter.... if you solely own the land, enter the name of a "renter". If the land is group owned. then members of that group that own the land can all be renters if you wish, also with a reduced menu from yours.
4. SAFETY - the owner (if solely owned) and renter (if used) are always allowed. Also any "saved owner" using that feature. If group owned land, then anyone wearing the proper group tag is fine.
5. Indicators: While you can change color at the end, choice of "yes list" shows you that list and the object turns yellow. Choice of a "no" list shows you that list and changes the object color to blue. You can change color when settings done if desired.
6. Four security object appearances will be supplied, or supply your own.
7. Set range of the sensor finding avatars from a number of choices from 1 to 96 meters. Use more than one sensor (copy = yes) if you need more.
8. Set time scan of the sensor to look for intruders. We do set it to 2 seconds as a compromise between speed and lag.
9. Set eject time - time between the warning the first person gets and when they are kicked off your land - several choices from 1 to 15 seconds.
10. Set type of usage: "yes" list to "no" list
12. Set warning message given to intruders before they are kicked
13. Notecard commands we think are easy - if you choose to use the notecard
14. Menu reads current values for many values to show you current status before your choice
HOW IT WORKS
It is perhaps brutal on the side of "security". For each that are determined to be a problem, they go on the "eject list" and the first problem intruder begins the ejection timer. Once on the eject list, if the intruder does not get off your land - even if out of range of the sensor - they will be ejected (with the exception of group owned land and if they put on the proper group tag). Any additional intruders that arrive after the first may get even less time since the ejection timer has already started, and when it reaches the value you set, it will eject ALL on the problem eject list. However, all problem intruders should get the eject message that you setup (or simply use ours).
SPECIFICATIONs - mostly SL specs
1. Each sensor can detect only 16 intruders at one time
2. Range - from 1 to 96 meters
3. Number of People on Lists? Its a memory issue and memory will read out to owner (only). We tested to 100 names, but we recommend 50 maximum to leave space for eject lists and more. If you need more on your yes list, consider group owned land and those wearing the correct group tag will also be safe - even if they add the tag during the eject time.
4. Lag may effect either sensor intervals or eject times or both
5. You can only eject people from YOUR land If the range exceeds your land, those not on your land should not be ejected
6. Avatars ejected may leave a "ghost" for a time. (we find that right clicking them can often fix that)
SUGGESTED USAGES
1. Business? You want max traffic most likely, so you would use the "no" list and only kick out offenders
2. Home? You might want to use the "yes" list such that only those people can come in
3. Harassed? Consider the "yes" list since someone harassing you can always get a new avatar - and also we suggest a short eviction time.
4. Mixture of business and home? Use two sensors or more, Copy = yes.
5. Renters? You set up the security orbs first. Then add the renter's name when done either by menu or on the card. If on group land, the members of the group can be renters - with reduced menu capabilities
6. Card or Menu usage? I use both. The notecard entry option may seem like trouble, but you only do it once, or at least fewer times for those "permanent folks" and "permanent desired settings".
7. Large Dance or other Club? Use group owned land, deed it to group and put primary people on the "yes" list and for others, tell them they must be wearing the proper group tag to remain. You can get to large numbers that way.
Hope you Enjoy!
