Progeny Vampires can feed without your knowledge if you are within their 2 m bite range, This device is designed to detect Progeny vampires and notify you of their distance from you.
The AT-Vampire Detect HUD will scan the region you are in for any attachment an avatar is wearing. It will search for attachment names that can be set by menu or in a notecard and will keep a list of the avatars that are found. It will record the NAME, RANGE, TYPE of attachment and TIME.
*Note - The search can be for any attachment name. The default is set to "Progeny" and "Bloodlines" to keep up with any future atachment changes the search can be modified, for example "Nexus" will also find Bloodlines attachments. You can even use this HUD to search for non vampire related attachments.

To use the HUD - When delivered to your inventory, locate the folder AT-Security HUD, it will contain the AT-Vampire Detect HUD, Right click and add. The HUD should appear bottom right and activate. If you have another HUD in that location then you may need to Attach HUD, and select a free location.
The Object is Mod and Copy, the scripts inside cannot be modified.
What it does.

* Scan a region for any attachment an avatar is wearing (will not find huds)
* Scan range can be set between 1 and 4096 (Default 50)
* Time delay between scans can be set from 5 - 300 (Default is 5 seconds)
* Scan will find and record the avatar name, distance, attachment and time in a list.
+ When an attachment is found, the HUD will change color, displaying up to 15 names, distance and attachment above hud. (15 closest are shown)
+ Avoidance mode - should a Progeny vampire come within bite range, will automatically move your avatar away (works for search1)
+ Warnings in local chat - "Keep away from me Progeny vampire". You can place your own messages in the notecard settings.(Evade must also be on to warn)
+ Updated to work in non script locations (needs to be operating prior)
* Advise the HUD owner of attachments as found via IM if set.
* Send the Owner a found list via email if an email address is provided.
* Send the Owner a found list via IM if no email address.
* IM/Email list length can be set from 25 - 75 (Default is 50)
* Change record time to your time zone. (Default is -7 SLT)
* Search for two attachment names. (Default Progeny and Bloodlines)
* Touch for Menu options.
* No setup required - Scan begins when attached, uses defaults, scan for Progeny and Bloodlines, Avoid progeny on, Warn off, Range 50m, Scan rate 5 seconds.
Defaults are pre-set, however over-ride control of settings can be made by Menu selection or placed in a notecard.

9 Month Review
It works perfectly as described. I've used it now to for 9 months on a daily basis and love the hud.
Yes it actually works and if your use the Contact Sets in Firestorm and create an Undead set you can save your found as I have done and have Undead colour dots on your mini-map. I found it teaching me more about the Undead than I ever knew and I've made some good friends too because of it. It has an rlv lock that works great to add to my outfits and the extra search I must admit I've used for other searches too, for example, to see how many use the free genus head ect ha ha. Now for the Undead this hud is perfect for new members as it detects Progeny joining a sim where as your hud is close range, and that combined with the teliport away option it will teliport you away when attacked by another Progeny vampire. Really handy if your new and a older Progeny attacks you. For this who are not Undead best part if they use stealth huds you know they there and it shows the distance from you and will TP you away or Move you away from them, per the setting you choose. The other great option i loved was you can add to the whitelist of your friends so if your a Undead in a clan you can add your clam members into it so they can stand close to you but other Undead can't. Hope this short review helps understand the hud better and how it can be helpfull from both sides.

Bought this for testing fun, and it failed. I can confirm that it is one of the most unnecessary products in SL, and also my most useless purchase of the year. Congratulations!
AAA great job.
Perfect i love this hud, moves me or TPs me away as i set it. The vamps hate this hud, just reading the reviews and how many vamp are complaining i had to buy it and i'm not disappointed at all. After helping over the years at Freebie Galaxy and always keeping a eye open for Progeny fighting and pushing and throwing the Progeny name away, now at last with the hud i can warn the new people i help who to beware or before the fights start. The RLV lock is a blessing as after the years i have many outfits and locking it to rlv i don't have to add it to each outfit. Keep up the good work for those of us tired of Progeny acting like kids pushing and fighting with new members. You don't always see the good products like this do to keep new people from just leaving thinking we all act like trolls in sl. Again thank you 5 start and keep up the good work.
More annoying than any Vampire in SL could be
Vampires in SL can not hurt you, so what's the point? The new version literally pushes your avatar away from friends and potential friends. And the activities of Progeny (and similar system vampires) are harmless to anyone who is not in the same system. This is classic fear factory stuff... this seller scares people into thinking they are 'unsuspecting victims'. It's complete nonsense, but they take your money. They'll be selling a Unicorn repellent next (because everyone knows that unicorns in SL get points for secretly peeing on you).
