[SP] Stream Relay System

What is it?
========

The Starchild Productions Stream Relay system is used to automatically change the Music URL stream on all the lands you own and it does so EXTREMELY FAST and is as robust as possible for extreme conditions such as laggy environments.

Who needs the SP Stream Relay System?
================================

The very speedy operation is especially useful for venues that have live musicians drawing big crowds. It is also very useful in CAM sims around an event or a store owner changing their stream in many store locations at once.

How does it work?
==============

This system comes with the SP Stream Relay Transmitter that checks for changes to the land stream on the original (live) venue and transmits the new URL to a database that is accessed by the SP Stream Remote Receiver(s). The Remote Receiver(s) will automatically set that stream on the parcels they are rezzed in. This process can take just under two seconds, configurable in the menu.

What are the menu options?
=====================

Both the SP Stream Relay Transmitter and the SP Stream Remote Receiver(s) have a menu that can only be operated by the original owner of the system no matter if the object is deeded or not. The menu options are:

SP Stream Relay Transmitter:
* [Main power] - Turns off the whole system.
* [Delay] - Sets the time it takes for changes to propagate through the grid. Configurable from 2 to 60 seconds max. This also adjusts all the receivers.
* [Hovertext] - Configures status through hovertext On or Off
* [Verbosity] - Configures how chatty the server is.
* [Reset] - Resets the server and re-configures all the receivers with default settings.

SP Stream Remote Receiver:
* [Power] - Puts just this receiver to sleep while others keep working.
* [Delay] - Sets the time it takes for changes to propagate through the grid. Configurable from 2 to 60 seconds max. This configures all other receivers and the transmitter too!
* [Hovertext] - Configures status through hovertext On or Off. Only for this remote receiver.
* [Verbosity] - Configures how chatty this receiver is. Only for this receiver.
* [Reset] - Resets just this remote receiver.

For ease and convenience, you can control most of the system from any remote receiver location.

What else is required for this to work?
============================

* Buyer must be owner of the land or able to deed to the group if the land is owned by group in order to either read the Music URL for the SP Stream Relay Transmitter or to set the Music URL for the SP Stream Remote Receiver(s).

* Any separate parcels need their own SP Stream Remote Receiver.

* Note: it is NO LONGER needed to add the starchild experience to your parcels or regions since LL changed this requirement for communicating with the associated experience database :) (Thanks LL!)

What's in the package?
==================

One SP Stream Relay Transmitter and one SP Stream Remote Receiver.
(More remote receivers are available for purchase separately.)

What are the permissions?
====================

In order for the buyer to be able to DEED to a group, the SP Stream Relay Transmitter and SP Stream Remote Receiver both have to be transferable. They are not modify and not copyable.

What is the land impact?
==================

Both the transmitter and the receiver are 2 prims each.

What else should i know ?
===================
You should NOT transfer your SP Stream Relay Transmitter to another avatar as it will NOT operate on lands not owned by you or to which you cannot deed to.
However if you want to sell your whole system including SP Stream Relay Transmitter, you could.

What sets this system apart from others?
===============================

* The SP Stream Relay system can do very fast communication through a more reliable LL based experience database method which is less hampered by lag, resulting in extremely fast and reliable stream changes.

* The SP Stream Relay system was built from the ground up with efficiency in mind for high lag locations. Transmitter and Receivers(s) both use just 28kb of memory and only use ~0.002 script time at their fasted speed setting!

What add-on's exist?
===============
None yet but two add-on's to come soon!
* Extra Full Receivers. - Set the same stream on parcels controlled by the same owner. (as long as the owner owns it or can deed to it) These remote receivers allow to re-configure the system from those locations like the remote receiver that comes with this system. Can ONLY be used by the owner.
