The Remote TC Kiosk provides the capability for Subscriber Kiosk 3.0 owners to give away (or sell) remote kiosks that are pre-linked to their Master Kiosk. Now you can give Remote Kiosks to store/land owners to place in their stores or on their land, to increase your opportunities to collect new subscribers. The Remote TC Kiosk functions similarly to a regular Remote Kiosk in that it may be placed in either the same or different region/sim than the Master Kiosk. Subscriber information from both regular Remote Kiosks as well as Remote TC Kiosks will update the subscriber database in the associated Master Kiosk.
IMPORTANT - This Remote TC Kiosk requires a Subscriber Kiosk 3.0 Master Kiosk. Master Kiosks are sold separately on this site as part of Combo Packages (see Related Items below) or are available from the Subscriber Kiosk 3.0 vendor at Night Sky - Fred's Corner.
Key Features
* New one-prim, low-lag design. Touching the kiosk presents customer with a blue dialog box with buttons to Subscribe, Unsubscribe, or Get Info.
* Includes two kiosk styles (floor and desktop).
* Supplied with full permissions (excepts scripts are no-modify). Apply your own textures or copy scripts and 'Config' note card to your own kiosk design.
* You can change 'next owner' permissions before you give away (or sell), e.g. to allow/prevent further modification, copying and/or distribution.
* No limit to the number of Remote TC Kiosk's that can be linked to a Master Kiosk.
* Can be used concurrently with existing regular Remote Kiosks associated with the same Master Kiosk.
* Collects and records (in the Master) subscriber identity, date, kiosk name, and region name (same as regular Remote Kiosk).
* Stores optional info item(s) (e.g. note card, landmark, etc.) that are given in response to the 'Get Info' button.
* Gives optional gift item(s) (stored in Master) to new subscribers.
* Avatars placed on the Master Kiosk's Subscriber Config notecard ban list will not be permitted to subscribe.
* Includes 'Config' note card for original buyer to specify text to be shown in blue dialog box and the MasterCode* for the associated Master Kiosk.
*NOTE: The MasterCode is used by the Remote TC Kiosk to send subscriber information to the associated Master Kiosk. A utility script named 'Subscriber MasterCode' (no-mod, no-trans) is provided to permit the original buyer to obtain the MasterCode for a Master Kiosk. This code must be copied to the MasterCode= line on the Remote TC Kiosk Config notecard. The Master Kiosk must be rezzed in-world before any Remote TC Kiosks are configured and distributed. Afterwards, the Master Kiosk must remain rezzed in-world permanently. CAUTION: If the Master Kiosk is ever de-rezzed (e.g. deleted or taken to Inventory) then later re-rezzed, it will get a new MasterCode and will no longer be able to 'hear' the Remote TC Kiosks. If this occurs, the original buyer must reconfigure the Remote TC Kiosk's Config note card with the new MasterCode and distribute updated Remote TC Kiosks. Note that resetting or moving a Master kiosk will NOT change its MasterCode. Also, except in rare cases, sim restarts or crashes will NOT change it either. Master Kiosks can also be moved to a different sim, if necessary, without changing its MasterCode by wearing it, teleporting to the new sim, and then dropping (NOT detaching) it there.
Differences from regular Remote Kiosks
* Remote TC Kiosk is a one prim design. Does not use separate Subscribe/Unsubscrbe button prims.
* Status of Remote TC Kiosks are not included in 'Rem Stat' status information list shown by the Master Kiosk.
* Remote TC Kiosks cannot be re-synced from the Master 'Rem Stat' dialog box, however they can be Disabled/Enabled along with regular Remote Kiosks.
* Remote TC Kiosks do not indicate ONLINE/OFFLINE status or other hover text.
* There is no 'manual association' process required. The Remote TC Kiosk is associated with a specific Master Kiosk via the MasterCode= line on its Config note card.
* 'Update' button is not provided on kiosk.
* Remote TC Kiosks are transferrable. Regular Remote Kiosks are non-transferrable.
