This is a Very Easy to use sliding door script.
Although this script will satisfy the most demanding user … it is so easy to use and an inexperienced user can have his doors ready in less than one minute.
No notecards or script editing is necessary …
All you have to do is: .....
Create your doors.
Drop in the scripts and the sound file...... and…..
Your Doors are ready!
Move them – Resize them - Rotate them on any axis or angle! They will function correctly.
You can also Link them in your constructions.
The doors will open when an avatar aproaches (4.5 meters) or when touched.
They will stay open for 8 seconds and then close.
Sliding Door sound will be played (sound file included)

VERSION 2.0 NEW FEATURES ADDED
1- You can change the predefined distance the doors are activated by issuing a command on a chat channel .
2- You can change the predefined time the doors stay open by issuing a command on a chat channel .
3- Doors can be Locked/Unlocked by Owner.
4- There is no longer a distance limit on how close you can place another set of doors. So now set as many sets of doors as close as you need them. Just name use different names on each set of doors
5- You can change the Script's Communictions Channel

The scripts works well, but the sensor only accepted lock/unlock commands... until I read the manual a second time
The scripts works well, but the sensor only accepts /100 LOCK and /100 UNLOCK commands, giving a text confirmation to the owner "Doors are Locked".
I tried to modify the distance to 1.5 or even 2 meters, nothing modifies the sensor, that is setted to 4 meters.
Then I read the manual with more attention and the soluction was there...
NOTE : To Change TIME and DIST the doors must be Locked!
It is now working as expected! 5 STARS!

best 399 linden i ever spent and it was all done easy, i love being able to do a simple set-up and once i really got to reading how i was supposed to make it work, then i knew i didn't waste my time with this one cause at first i was just really upset cause i thought i bought another dud but this time i got the real deal, i was able to calm down and tackle it before confronting the creator about it and now i'm so happy that my "[[RH]] MESH Japanese House -Ade-" now has functional doors! now if i can just get a window one i can click on that also slides left to right, that'd be awesome too! :D thank you Mr. NiK! *hi5*

Great script, my sliding doors slide nice.
Limited use. Best for commercial doors, not home doors
The instructions on how to use are clear and the doors work nicely in a very limited way. The sound file is great. That being said, you can not edit the script to have the doors close sooner rather than later. In addition, while you can use touch to open and close this only works IF there are no avatars near the doors. Thats a problem when I am standing in my own home and the doors wont close unless Im an entire home away.
I think this would be perfect for shopping mall doors where manually closing the doors would not be important. However, for your own home where it might be important to be able to close the door when you want to close it and be able to set it so that only you can open it this would not be the right script.
If the script were editable (timing of closing, and distance of avatar) Id give it 5 stars. As it is, for the high price and lack of editability, I had to down grade it.
Good script, even better service!
This script works well. But don't do as I did at first, and stand too close to the door when you put the script into it - it must sense your presence and will appear then to malfunction! Move away a few meters and then position the door and all should be well.
