TMDG is a versatile Scottish artist, living in France since 2003.
Multi-instrumentalist musician, teacher and painter, he learned the craft of luthier at a very young age, hence his love for woodworking, drawing and precision of gesture. Today, he works on all possible media : canvas, wood, metal…
He likes to include all techniques in his works, mixing oil painting, charcoal drawing, sanguine, sepia, engraving, sculpture, welding, etc.
He likes to combine some of his works with sculptures made from recycled materials, to which he gives a second life.
Although he particularly liked neo-impressionism, no style was foreign to him.
His work is characterized by a strong inspiration from his native country enhanced by the boldest colors.
