HAS LASSARD has been a photographer for almost fourty years. Born in Montreal, raised in northern Quebec and BC, he now resides just outside Vancouver, BC.

He makes his living with high volume portraiture, photographing nearly 20,000 children annually through schools, sports associations, and events.

But his passion is for the outdoors. "I want to be able to earn a living doing what I love" says LASSARD. So he shoots the outdoors for enjoyment. "I go on holidays and shoot 6000 photos, LOL"

His style is to capture what he sees, as he sees it, with very little post production or manipulation. "I see things others pass by, I want to be able to show them what they missed". He firmly believes in capturing what he sees, when he sees it. "I don't have the time to be able to set a shot up and wait a week for the correct lighting. I have to use what I have, when I am there, to create the shot". And it works.

HAS rarely offers his photos for sale in RL but when he does they earn as much as $2000 for a print. "SL allows me to have a bit of fun and allow others to enjoy some of my art, without a lot of work on my part. LOL. It's the best of both worlds"
