I…am not in second life, a photographer who likes to take pictures of faces for profiles, I will do so but it is not my purpose. When I work every ounce of my current emotions goes into that piece that is why usually when I am in one state or another of an emotional realm I tend to work better.
What I like doing most is taking pictures in SL and turning them into compositions…not pictures that would necessarily look good in a profile as they would probably be distorted and the detail unseen…but pictures that make one look and think…”did that come out of sl?” for it seems almost more like a painting. I think I have done that in a few instances…
Oh, I still have much work to do, much learning and plan on taking a lot of what I was told to heart. While I momentarily thought..why am I even doing this if I am so mediocre. I remembered. I am doing this because it expresses my emotions. My style is my style. It may not be someone else’s style. I take pictures for different reasons and play with pictures out of my style, and in that realm I have much to learn….but overall..I am happiest looking for a location….setting the scene….and turning it into art.
