American Mastodon (boxed) Version 2.0

This is a detailed, properly sized mesh Mastodon that will be perfect for any SF, or prehistoric sim. This product also includes a "museum specimen" version complete with a pleasantly textured exhibit display.

This is a 2.0 version, updated with mesh. The adult mastodon is delivered in realistic size and will have a land impact of 9. The museum specimen including the case will also have a LI of 9, while the baby mastodon in a realistic size will have a land impact of 8. As with any mesh object, if you streach it to supernatural size, the land impact may go up.

Although the American mastodon was a relative of the prehistoric mammoths, there were considerable differences between the two animals. The two major differences were the animals' sizes and their teeth. Mastodons were roughly half the size of the colombian mammoth and stood about eight feet tall. Although the American mastodon had the same number of teeth throughout their normal lifetime as mammoths, they had more teeth in the jaw at any one time. The mastodon's simple and low crowned teeth indicate that this animal had the diet of a browser, an animal that tends to eat leaves and twigs.
