The tail is an image on two flexi strips perpendicular to each other. So, from most angles, it looks fake as in stage prop fake. This is what the tail looks from any other angle: http://i.snag.gy/sPiG5.jpg

Ugh... the included picture is misleading. The tail comes with some kind of oval shaped thing at the base, so you have to sink it into your avatar to hide it. The animation quality is rather poor and jitters a lot when you move. It's okay for its price, I guess, but there are freebie tails I'd use over this.
